Assessment of your musculoskeletal condition
At your initial appointment your physiotherapist will take you through a comprehensive assessment. This will start with a series of questions designed to find out as much information about your condition as possible. If you have been to see a doctor, have had any producers or clinic letters which are related to your problem please bring them with you to help your physiotherapist make informed decisions about your care.
You will then be taken through a physical assessment which includes observation of how you are currently affected and will accurately assess how your issue has impacts on movement, strength and balance.
Diagnosis of your musculoskeletal condition
Once the assessment has been completed your physiotherapist will clearly talk you through what they have found and give you an in depth understanding of your condition and what has caused it. They will also discuss realistic prognosis and the likely outcome of treatment.
