Elbow Surgery

The elbow is a common site of injury and chronic pain. These can both occur through over use (e.g. lateral epicondylitis) or trauma (e.g. fracture of the radial head).  Elbow injuries can have a serious impact on your ability to work and to complete sports and other hobbies. Physiotherapy aims to both speed up and ensure that recovery is full and lasting.

Leeds Physio therapy is able to offer expert physiotherapy from our team of specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapists. Prior to your surgery we can provide ‘prehab’ ensuring you are in the best possible condition before you undergo your procedure. Following your surgery our team can get started immediately to help ensure you make a full and rapid recovery. Some of the more common types of elbow surgery we treat here at Leeds Physiotherapy include:
  • Arthrolysis
  • Arthroscopy
  • Debridement or synovectomy
  • Elbow injection
  • Elbow replacement
  • Excision of the Radial head
  • Fracture of the radial head (replacement)
  • Lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) release
  • Medial epicondylitis (golfers elbow) release
  • ORIF elbow
  • Ulnar nerve decompression
If you are interested in booking an appointment with one of our expert physiotherapist’s or would like more information about anything on this page then please email Leeds Physiotherapy today at or call 0113 880 0333.
